A Psychic’s Common Sense Guide to Hearing Voices

Oh, hello random voice in my head. Are you my new djinn/angel/god/ascended something? How do you tell the difference or even begin to question what you are hearing is,…well…worth listening to?
I am sorry to disappoint you, but nine times out of ten it is most likely not. I’m not talking to you guys that feel one with all and feel that god power. I’m talking to the rest that have a smidge of doubt that what they are hearing is a terrible joke.
It could be one voice or many voices. It could even be one voice playing spiritual ventriloquism and pretending to be god plus five other archangels. It also may very well be that you could be picking up the thoughts of others that are directed toward you or the thoughts of the random passerby. It is very difficult to tell the difference for the untrained mind.
Intuition manipulation
Keep in mind that what you believe to be your intuition, the thing that is telling you that 100% the voice is god is a signal running through your mind space. The brain that easily tricks us on many subjects; the brain that has the ego survival instinct. Also the brain is easily tapped into for information by any other consciousnesses. From a dimensional standpoint, your placement in time-space, and your whole life is an open records file. Your entire religion, past memories can be stimulated to appear at any moment you lapse in judgment. This is done to change your feelings about a subject or to get you to do something out of character. And for those with even less mental defense, a simple voice will do to get those people to do something out of character that could even be dangerous.
Common Sense Spirituality
If this voice is really god, THE God, the head honcho then you should demand proof. Ask the voice to materialize it’s form out of thin air, or walk on water, or even hey turn your water into wine. Because the voice is disincarnate, do you treat it better than your real life neighbor that can actually talk to you in front of your face? There is not a reason to microwave your baby, because the voices told you to. Nor is it a reason to start a gun battle with law enforcement. I suppose you could risk getting smote by your god, but the changes are you would die first from the punishment doled out from the situation you’ll get yourself by listening in the first place. Also, stay away from as many drugs, prescription or otherwise, if you want to keep your sanity. They weaken the soul’s resolve and the mind’s logical functioning.
Where did you Pick up the Voices?
Here is a list of any possible events that could have put a huge “EAT ME” sign on your soul.
- You’re depressed
- Dating a witch or warlock
- Being in a fundamentalist religion
- Being in any religion
- Weak mindedness
- Easily influenced by people
- Generational curses
- You made the wrong prayer
- You asked for fame or wealth
- You are ethically unsound
- You’ve got a case of the “Evil Eye” upon ye
- You’re a pre-pubescent teen with psychic skills
- You’re in a cult
- You hate on a daily basis
- Drugs everyday
- You’re parents made a demon pact
- You’re addicted to TV, Doritos, YouTube
- etc etc etc…
I am sure there are variations of this list, but to give you an example of what may cause the voices. This is not meant to be a diagnosis for actual psychological disturbances, but a more detailed view on voices for regular folk that aren’t really crazy yet, and realize something is amiss.
Pressure from Your Religious/Cultish Peeps
Someone told me once that a priest asked them “Would you kill your child to prove your loyalty to god?” It’s hard to remember all bible passages. Apparently there is many a sacrifice in there, and once in a while “god” stops the murder he/she requested.
What if you burned in the fiery pits of hell if you didn’t do as commanded? Even if you were skinned in the inferno and god said you and him were not buds anymore? You’re not one of god’s disciples/chosen one, and you’re not patriotic enough!
An all powerful diety could probably microwave his own souls, why does he need you to stab or maim another? You know why? Because it’s probably not who you think it is. Everything about this kind of thought process is anti-humanity.
Withdrawal and breaking up with fake-god.
Tell fake-god you need to see other gods. Let him/her/it off nice and easy. And if it is actually *cough* a demon, the voice won’t take that very well. You may go a little nuts as the entity drains your energy in revenge or at worse haunts up your house pretty good. You’ll miss the angry yet friendly voices in your head. I suggest getting a hobby to release all that pent up submissiveness. Meditation is great for this. You may not know what to do with yourself for a while. But hey, you will be your own person.
